Head of External Operations - Cash Services

We are seeking an accomplished and dynamic Head of External Operations - Cash Services to join our team in Mauritius. In this role, you will play a critical part in the smooth running of the CIT, ATM, DRS & BGS Operations for Brink's Mauritius to ensure client satisfaction, implement global initiatives and ensure business operational excellence. contributing to our ongoing success and strategic goals. As part of Cash Services, you will be expected to be a process expert for all External Operations systems and functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Initiatives

• Support strategic business development for the department.
• Prospect potential clients and support expansion of service offerings.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Deliver consistent, high-quality customer service.
• Follow up on client requests and complaints, collaborating with the Quality Department.
• Conduct client meetings as required to support operational needs.
• Oversee Customs operations in collaboration with brokers and third‑party partners.

Operations Management & Cost Control

• Logistics, Routing & Shipment Coordination
• Process inbound and outbound shipments in designed corporate systems.
• Prepare and control optimized route planning for collections and deliveries.
• Verify and control supplier invoices and related credit notes.
• Validate recurring and temporary billing lists prior to approval.
• Manage petty cash, including monthly reconciliation, replenishment requests, and expense control.
• Control departmental expenses and ensure accurate Pastel entries.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate procurement as needed.
• Conduct supplier research aligned with Brink's requirements.
• Manage Keep Safe and seals operations.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Leverage systems, equipment, and processes are redesigned to enhance cost efficiency, quality, and overall performance.
• Prepare monthly KPIs based on departmental standards and business requirements.

• Participate in tool development, process improvement initiatives, and innovative actions to optimize service delivery.
• Outline additional areas of focus for process enhancement or efficiency gains.

Leadership

• Conduct compulsory training for all department employees and facilitate onboarding for new joiners.
• Evaluate new employees for confirmation and integration into the team.
• Foster a positive work environment and maintain strong employee relations.
• Create and promote a cooperative, engaged, and productive team culture.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in Management or Logistics or HSC with relevant experience
• Proven experience in logistics operations
• LEAN Management Certification
• Intermediate Microsoft office user (PowerPoint, Excel, Word...)
