We are seeking an accomplished and dynamic Junior Finance Officer to join our team in Nicosia, Cyprus. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting the company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all accounting processes. Your contribution will directly support our ongoing success and strategic goals. As a key member of the Finance Department, you will assist with daily accounting tasks, financial reporting, and regulatory submissions, while collaborating closely with colleagues to maintain smooth and effective financial workflows. The position is short term, with an initial one‑year contract and the potential for extension based on organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Entry & Transaction Processing

  • Prepare and issue invoices for all Lines of Business (LOB) accurately and on time.
  • Ensure all billing data is complete, validated, and aligned with internal procedures.
  • Support the resolution of invoicing discrepancies by coordinating with relevant departments.
  • Conduct reconciliation of banks' balances and general ledger accounts.
  • Perform accurate data entry of finance‑related transactions in the company's system.
  • Ensure all entries are properly documented, coded, and aligned with accounting standards.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date financial records to support smooth month‑end and year‑end processes.
  • Handle any other finance‑related data entry transactions as required to support daily operations.

Finance Controls & Reporting

  • Conduct data processing and monthly preparation of annual or other routine / ad hoc reports.
  • Support the preparation of billing‑related reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Contribute to internal audits by providing required documentation and data.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Either a bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or LCCI Higher or ACA/ACCA.
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounting, billing, or finance operations, ideally in a transactional or data‑entry‑focused role.
  • Familiarity with accounting systems (e.g, SAGE) and processes, including invoicing and financial data entry.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools; Excel-pivot tables, formulas, Vlookups will be an advantage.
  • Excellent knowledge of Greek and good command of English.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle repetitive transactional tasks with accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change.
