Role Summary
The Security Guard II performs day-to-day guarding activities for assigned facilities or posts, maintaining a secure environment through access control, observation, patrols, and incident response within established procedures. Completes assigned work with a moderate degree of supervision and helps maintain site safety and security standards. Typical work includes building and gate access control, visitor escorting, employee or package screening where required, patrols, and incident or activity reporting.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform guarding duties for assigned facilities or posts, including access control, visitor management, screening, and patrol activities.
- Escort visitors, contractors, or employees as required and help enforce site-specific rules, restricted-area controls, and outbound screening procedures.
- Monitor cameras, alarms, access points, and site conditions and take appropriate action within established incident response procedures.
- Document daily activities, incidents, observations, and security exceptions accurately and submit reports and timesheets on time.
- Maintain familiarity with the property, adjacent areas, and emergency response procedures to respond effectively to incidents.

Required Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in security, military, law enforcement, facilities, or related operational work.
- Experience with access control, incident reporting, patrol work, or site security procedures.
- Ability to meet local licensing, certification, firearm, or clearance requirements where applicable.

Education
Secondary school completion or equivalent preferred; additional training or certification in security, law enforcement, or transportation is a plus.
