Operations Supervisor - Day Shift

We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Supervisor (Day Shift). Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing branch operations, including vault and cash room activities, while driving operational excellence, team performance, and continuous process improvement.

This role offers full supervisory responsibility and provides the opportunity to apply existing leadership skills while developing new capabilities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

As a member of the leadership team, you will:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the branch, including route scheduling and adjustments, parcel preparation, receiving and shipping activities, and verification of incoming and outgoing liabilities.
  • Supervise daily vault and cash room operations to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and security standards.
  • Maintain security protocols and conduct daily inventory reconciliations and audits.
  • Ensure customer service response times, cash-in-transit standards, and operational productivity goals are consistently achieved.
  • Monitor compliance with all security regulations, operational procedures, and industry requirements.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaged work environment with a strong focus on employee relations and teamwork.
  • Participate in recruitment and selection activities to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained.
  • Address employee concerns and grievances, recommend disciplinary actions when required, and administer applicable collective bargaining agreements.
  • Investigate workplace incidents, including vehicle accidents and employee injuries, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective and preventative actions.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and effective allocation of resources to support operational objectives and service commitments.

What we're looking for:

  • Previous supervisory experience in transportation and logistics, a unionized workplace, the armored transportation industry, or a similar operational environment.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strong customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage conflict professionally, collaboratively, and with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with sound judgment and decision-making capabilities.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and capable of motivating and developing team members.
  • Experience using Power BI and Business Objects is considered an asset.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Possession and Acquisition Licence (PAL) for both Restricted and Non-Restricted firearms, or the ability to obtain one within six months of assuming the role.
